Colour wheel and gradients in both greyscale and magenta
Personal colour pallet - I formed this pallet by reviewing my existing artworks and picking out the most re occurring colours, I noticed I often used lighter, pastel skin tones a lot in my work with the shadows often being done in a darker contrasting tone. Generally I feel the pallet is an accurate representation of the colours that I feel define me.

Thumbnail sketches for the book pages, generally I didn't have a set structure in mind for each page more so I find it best to produce several designs and see which ones layer best against each other. Going into this I had a rough idea of the narrative I wanted to depict so it was a matter of creating thumbnails which could best illustrate that idea, the main idea I was basing these off of was a sort of unconventional love which I wanted to capture and suggest to by using cropped in compositions which allude to the bigger image.
The narrative I pictured when listening to the song is essentially a man is too dedicated to his job and his relationship is suffering as a result however he ultimately reassures his partner that he'll fix it. So following this rough story I was trying to depict in my book was a sort of day in the life of the lineman in question, so the cover is him emerging from a bath to start his day. I was sort of aiming to create something that wasn't just a simple story and that doesn't hold the readers hand all the way, I just wanted to suggest vague ideas which the reader could then piece together themselves. However I'm aware that this has resulted in a sort of jumbled scrapbook almost of random images.
Page 1 is supposed to suggest to the lineman getting dressed for work, (work bots and exposed torso), then page 2 follows up with him being dressed and leaving as his wife is waking up. (cigarette behind the ear and his wife putting on a shirt).
Page 3 contrasts how the two go through out their days, the lineman is enjoying a takeaway dinner whilst his partner is now getting dressed for work. Then page 4 jumps to the couple coming home for the evening.
Page 5 depicts the couple in each others embrace but the lineman isn't as passionate but as shown in page 6 he ultimately reassures her that everything's still ok. A true happy ending involving crude uncensored imagery.
